Root: Restorative, Reiki & Sound
Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing. This class focuses on the release of mind-body tension with the goal of bringing the nervous system into a state of healing.
Parisa will provide reiki (energy healing) while students hold shapes for 3-5 minutes at a time. We will open & close class with sound healing which could include Parisa playing instruments, chanting & humming.
Tea, ginger and other treats can be enjoyed after class in studio living room.
A yoga mat, blocks, bolster, strap, blanket, eye pillow and essential oils will be provided to support your practice. Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle with you.
*No prior yoga experience is needed. This class can be a great tool to support your mental health.
